About Us

Dnyan Gangotri Education Society, Udgir was established in 1985 with a view to provide social and economic services to the poor and down trodden people especially women and children from the weaker sections of the society. The key objectives of the organization are to serve socio-economically and educationally deprived people with out any discrimination on the basis of gender and religion and to rehabilitate them by providing opportunities for their educational, socio-economic and cultural development.

Dnyan Gangotri Education Society runs the Mother Teresa Shishu Greh - An Adoption agency for children in the age group of 0-6 years. These children are either relinquished or abandoned by unwed mothers or single parents due to unavoidable circumstances.

Mother Teresa Shishu Greh with an intake capacity of 10 children is a Licensed Adoption Placement Agency authorised to place children for in-country adoption. The children in this Shishu Greh are looked after with tender care and love by four child care workers and other staff members in the institution. Medical care is provided by a doctor appointed by the institution and a visiting pediatrician. The institution takes every step to make the children happy by celebrating their birthdays, festivals etc. These abandoned and relinquished children are waiting for a family of their own- a loving person whom they can call Dad or Mom!

Apart from the Shishu Greh , we have the following institutions catering to the needs of needy and under privileged sections of Society :-
