About Us

Takshashila Bahuuddeshiya Shikshan Sanstha (TBSS) was established with the main objective of providing complete rehabilitation to orphan and surrendered children as per adoption rules and guidelines.

Activities

1. Foster Care Project ( Bal Sangopan):

This is a special government scheme wherein they provide education to children less than 18 years of age. The agency receives Rs 425 / month /child. The total number of beneficiaries is 75. The beneficiaries are slum children who are orphans and staying with close relatives and are below poverty line.

2. Day Care Centre for children (Palnaghar)

Under Samaj Kalyan Kendra there is a scheme called ‘Palnaghar’, wherein slum children of 3 – 6 years of age are provided with education, Nutrition and Health services. TBSS is working with 7 Palnaghars in the nearby areas. They coordinate and monitor the working of these palnaghars, and undertake a regular training program for the Day Care Workers.

3. Counseling Program

The female inmates in jail are given regular counseling and non – formal education by the agency staff.

4. Counseling Program for farmers

Under this scheme, government has allotted us 2 computers. We provide information about the latest technologies in farming, agricultural products, and related matters to the farmers in the nearby villages.
