The members contribute time and ideas to the overall design of initiatives & each Managing Committee member takes on the responsibility for a specific activity.
President & Co-Founder
Vipul Jain is an entrepreneur and innovator, passionate about the transformational impact of technology on the travel and logistics industry. He Co-founded Kale Consultants (now known as Accelya Kale Solutions Limited) in 1986 and grew it to become a very well respected provider of financial and business intelligence solutions for the airline industry.
The company is a publicly listed, with 1500+ employees and over 100 airline customers for its products and outsourcing services. After leading the company for 29 years, he stepped down in 2015 from the CEO role. He continues as Advisor and Member of the Supervisory Board of Accelya Kale.
Vipul Jain is a B.Tech from IIT – Kanpur and a Post Graduate in Management from IIM – Ahmedabad. He won the President’s Gold Medal for topping the 1980 MBA class at IIM. Before founding Accelya Kale, he was with Tata Administrative Service and was deputed to the Taj Hotels Company to set up and head the Information Systems Department.
Vipul is also recipient of Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award (APEA) in the outstanding category for the India Chapter. Mr. Jain is invited often to speak at international conferences by IATA. Mr. Vipul Jain is an adoptive parent, one of the Founders of CSA and is its President.

Shibani Jain is a Graduate of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. Her professional assignments have been with Ogilvy & Mather and Tata Interactive Services, Mumbai. She set up Craftsbridge Private Ltd., in Pune, and was its CEO until she moved to Mumbai. She set up Baaya Design in Mumbai in 2009 and is its Founder and CEO. Shibani is an adoptive parent and one of the Founders of CSA

Bharati Das Gupta is Co-Founder and Trustee of Catalysts for Social Action (CSA), an NGO that works for the welfare of the institutionalized child with specific focus on adoption. As Founder and Managing Trustee of CSA, Bharati led the organization for 10 years to take it to its current position where CSA has found urban homes for 400+ rural children (thereby setting the trend for adoption from rural India) and now, supports 1600 rural children in 48 orphanages across 4 states. Bharati stepped down as Managing Trustee of CSA in 2012 creating space for a second line of management. She continues to associate directly with CSA as an Advisor and Mentor.
With specializations in English literature and Organisation & Methods, Bharati’s career spans a cross-section of diverse professions that include academics, corporate and social welfare.
Bharati is also, keenly interested in the cause of animals. In her early years she associated with an NGO in Mumbai and was a certified Animal Welfare Officer.
Bhaskar Bhattacharya was a National Science Talent Scholar and graduated from IIT Kanpur with a Masters in Chemistry (5 year Programme). He subsequently obtained an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and made a career in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, first with Novartis for four years, and then for almost seventeen years with US MNC Pfizer India, where he rose to become the youngest Board Member and Executive Director in the company’s history.
From 2000, he moved to Oman where he spent eight years helming Bahwan Healthcare, the healthcare arm of Suhail Bahwan Holdings. At that time he was also appointed as Non-executive Director on the Board of National Pharmaceutical Industries, a PPP project with the Government of Oman. In a variety of leadership positions, Bhaskar’s focus has been largely on planning, business strategy, new projects, team building etc. and in a corporate career spanning over three decades has developed a holistic view of organizations and a keen understanding of their dynamics. Bhaskar has wide range of interests from sports, politics, personal finance to social issues, government and governance.
Vinayak Kamath is an Engineer from BITS Pilani and an MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj. He is also a certified Corporate Director from the Institute of Directors. Vinayak has worked for 23 years in various companies, at leadership positions with organizations such as Kale Consultants as Senior VP – People and Processes, Genpact (formerly GE Capital) as Vice President in the IT business and Halcyon Private Equity as Director responsible for Operations, Investment evaluation and fund-raising. In 2010
Vinayak set-up VIVA, a boutique investing and advisory firm making small private investments and actively working with the investee companies to enhance their performance. Since 2016, Vinayak is a Partner at Fairwinds Private Equity, a mid-market PE Fund.
Meher Gandevia-Billimoria has 17 years of professional experience in education and the non-profit sector. Currently, Meher is COO at Centre for Advancement of Philanthropy (CAP). CAP assists non-profits to be compliance-complete and corporate foundations with their legal & CSR compliance.
In her former roles, Meher has worked with Special Needs and ESL (English as a Second Language) students at Bangkok Patana School (The British International School in Thailand). She was also the Head of Education at the Akanksha Foundation, a non-profit working to provide children from low-income communities with a high-quality education. Lesser known is Meher has a background in Hotel Management and recently authored a book ‘Cuisine for a Cause’ which featured non-profit foundations with their favourite food recipes and recipes for success.
Vaishali is the founding member of Agram Legal Consultants. She is a corporate lawyer with particular emphasis on merger and acquisitions, takeovers, joint ventures, private equity, competition law, investment strategies as well as general corporate advisory matters.
Vaishali has been involved in wide variety of matters and various high valued acquisitions (both domestic and cross border) and complex corporate restructurings. She has advised various multinationals clients, private equities on entry strategies, structuring of investments, regulatory compliances, exit options, contract negotiations, joint ventures fund formation, corporate and commercial matters and anti-trust laws.
She has done her LL.B, Advocate, India in 2000 & Solicitor from England and Wales, 2005. Her professional affiliations include Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa Law Society of England and Wales and the American Bar Association (Anti-Trust Section). She is an independent director on the Board of Hitech Plast Ltd. Before founding Agram Legal Consultants in 2014, Vaishali was a partner with top tier firms like AZB & Partners and Khaitan & Co. She also did a secondment with Clifford Chance LLP, London.
Mr. Javed Tapia is an entrepreneur leading the growth of several companies under the umbrella brand “Clover”. Having started his career with the flagship brand “Clover Realty” Mr. Tapia has established a strong presence for the Clover Group in areas such as information technology, transaction systems, and renewable energy. In the year 2000, Mr. Tapia spearheaded the open source revolution in India through a joint venture – Red Hat India with Red Hat Inc. and expanded the company’s footprint across south Asia.
Mr. Tapia is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (Bombay Chapter) and has served on its executive committee. Mr. Tapia is an angel investor with a keen interest in the Internet, technology and agri-business space.
Mr. Tapia is a postgraduate in business administration from the Duke University’s Fuqua school of business, US and is the founder of Fuqua Alumni Club in India. Mr. Tapia was conferred the “Alumni Impact Award” by his alma mater - Duke University. Mr. Tapia is an avid reader and enjoys horse riding and scuba diving in his free time.
Vivek Sarin has done his post-graduation from Jamnalal Institute of Management studies, University of Mumbai, specializing in marketing.
An entrepreneur who had a joint Venture in India and the Middle East before acquisition of his shareholding by his Joint venture partners, a large US based company Avery Dennison dealing in products of brand identification with large International retailers as their customers. Presently running a manufacturing unit in Thane, as also representing a German Company for their products.
