ADOPTION SCRUTINY AGENCY -VALIDATING THE ADOPTION DOSSIER

An integral part of the Adoption process involves the submission of documents validating the eligibility of the Adoptive parent(s) and, a Report based on a home study carried out by a professional social worker, assessing their suitability to adopt. The two together constitute the Dossier.  The Court petition can be filed only after the Dossier is complete. It is open to the Court to seek assistance from the Indian Council for Child Welfare or any of its branches/any independent, reputed and officially recognized Child/Social Welfare Agency, for scrutinizing the adoption application.
