Stakeholders
Wherever possible, we work through joint initiatives with the Adoption Stakeholders. Our training programmes are evolved in consultation with Specialist Academicians and experienced Social workers from some agencies. We also, include the participation of other children’s organizations such as Mobile Creches.
Our workshops and Children’s events are organized jointly with Adoption agencies, AParent's Associations and Adoption Coordinating Agencies. Our Resource persons are some of the best-known names in the field.
Our Chat Groups bring together both Aparents and Adoptees on a platform where they can share and learn from each other’s experiences. This is also, a forum that highlights issues that need to be addressed.
We use Corporate participation in all our initiatives. Donations in kind, have been obtained by us for several participating agencies.
Government
In 2005, we approached the Government of Maharasthra, Department of Women and Child Development with an offer to work in Marathawada and received an excellent response. This enabled the Latur Pilot. In coordination with the Government we successfully facilitated the transfer of about 15 children (eligible under the CARA Guidelines) into agencies that can place them. More importantly, with the issuance of a Government circular to all agencies to effect transfers as per the CARA Guidelines, this has now become an ongoing process. The significance of this joint initiative is that the adoption option still remains open to the transferred children instead of their movement into orphanages.
