CSA Projects : The Love Trust, Wardha, Vidharbha. |
Preamble
Many of the children who reach adoption agencies, are those who have been abandoned by their parents/guardians. A distinct section of such children are those who are severely mentally- challenged. Most adoption agencies are not equipped to provide any of the facilities that such children require. As a result, the quality of care is far from the required standards. There are about 10 such children spread across the agencies that CSA supports.
The Love Trust, Wardha, in Vidharbha, Maharashtra, has mentally-challenged children. They have the space and the wherewithal to create and run, a separate facility for 10 such children except that they need to be assured of some ongoing funding support. In keeping with CSA’s objective of enhancing the quality of child care while the child remains institutionalized, we have agreed to participate jointly with TLT, to create a special facility for such children.
