The Right to Information Act, 2006 provides the constitutional right to receive and collect information on any matter of public interest. CARA has been declared as a public authority by the Ministry of Women & Child Development and as such it is under obligation to ensure all citizens access to information as envisaged under the Act. Accordingly, CARA have brought out a Handbook to disseminate information to citizens of India and other countries. The Handbook provides complete information on CARA as also, contact details and procedure for obtaining additional information.
