CSA works with a group of Adoption Agencies and Orphanages, in a geographical cluster. The model which has been tested, is both, replicable and scalable and works as follows:

• A set of Adoption agencies is identified for being supported and being converted (over a 5 – year period), into ‘model agencies’ where the childcare and work standards are of a very high order. The support extended includes Adoption facilitation (parent referrals), Improvements in childcare, living and work conditions, Awareness and promotion, Resolution of procedural bottlenecks and Networking.
• A set of orphanages around the selected agencies is identified for extending support for Improving academic learning; Extending vocational and skills training; Identifying and moving eligible orphans into the adoption stream and Recommending the licensing of identified orphanages as Adoption agencies.

As a matter of practice, CSA’s initiatives are backed by

• Field Research studies for identifying the potential for work in the state.

Liaising with the State Authorities and the institutions for drawing up the plan of action and identifying bottlenecks if any.
